Not only will credit union volunteering benefit your community, it can also benefit you as an individual. Credit union volunteers have the opportunity to:
• Use existing skills and learn new ones
• Receive full training
• Be part of a team and make new friends
• Help local people access secure savings and low cost loans
What I can do?Credit unions offer a range of opportunities, and experience is not always necessary as full training is provided. Areas of work include:
• Customer services at our collection points
• Book keeping and administration in our central office
• Member of a Committee, for example which oversees credit control
Giving your timeWe understand that volunteers have many demands in their life. Let us know how much time you can spare and what skills or interests you have and we will do our best to offer you a suitable and enjoyable role.
