Chester Credit Union is a local financial co-operative run and controlled by its members who share the common bond of either living or working in Chester and district.

We are a local, not for profit community based organisation, and concentrate on offering our members a first class service, customised to what they need.
Our aim as a Credit Union is to promote sensible saving and management of finances.
Credit unions were established in the UK in the early 1960s and since then have gone on to serve members of communities both large and small. One of the largest credit unions in the UK serves over 11,000 members and even offers mortgages!
Chester Credit Union is managed by a group of experienced professionals who volunteer their time to ensure the interests of members are met and business is being conducted within the Financial Services Authority guidelines.
The Board of Directors provide valued experience from the field of; banking and finance, accounting, legal, training and development, business consultancy, marketing and the charity sector to ensure the growth and expansion of the Credit Union whilst improving its service to members.
